Patricia's family and friends gathered at Kemnal Park Cemetery on Thursday, 7 September, 2023, for a memorable celebration of  her life. The colour theme was yellow and the attendees, as well as the funeral directors' staff, who wore matching yellow ties, did her proud. Naturally, She had words with the Rain God, ordering him to ensure a sunny day, and duly obliged by providing the then hottest day of the year.

It was Patricia's wish that only close family members should send floral tributes, naturally yellow in theme, preferring that other attendees should consider make a donation to the Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, where she received the care of its wonderful staff before she passed away.

Steve Browning, the celebrant who hosted the service wearing a yellow bow tie, produced a lifeline for this so popular lady by cleverly intertwining amusing anecdotes among his remembrance narrative. The poems and music were superb and fitting for such a memorable occasion, as was the captivating visual tribute of photographs from her life.

Afterwards, people went to Frogpool Manor Restaurant, in Chislehurst where, under the master chef skills of Casey Thorne, enjoyed a sumptuous banquet to complement the service. It was a most appropriate venue as it was where Patricia and Kevin had held their wedding reception on 19 May 2000 and has been patrons of the restaurant for more than 30 years, 28 of which were under Casey's management.

Casey, who closed his establishment to the general public for the day, said it was an honour and his privilege to have prepared the food for such a lovely lady. It was our privilege to eat it.

It was an honour and privilege for all those attending to have known such a wonderful person. RIP, Patricia xx
